Tribhuvan University (TU) is planning to revise its curriculum to better align academic programmes with changing job market demands and technological developments. The university’s policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2083/84 include plans to incorporate entrepreneurship, innovation and technology into academic learning.

According to a report published on October 14, 2026, TU also plans to strengthen research, expand digital learning and introduce technology-based academic services. The proposed reforms aim to make education more relevant to students’ future careers while encouraging research, innovation and the practical application of knowledge.

Curriculum updates aligned with employment needs could help students develop more practical, career-relevant skills. Greater emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation may also encourage students to explore opportunities beyond traditional employment.
